The PIZA atlas of labour research

as a research project

The atlas of labour research shall give an orientation about the numerous facets, which are analysed, systematizised, explained, evaluated and developed in labour research. Here the atlas tries to illustrate the different forms in a grafical way.

We follow suit the example of geographical maps.
Spatial phenomenes – that means the relation between different dependent phenomenes – and topical phenomenes – that means the topics of labour research – will be allocated to a geographical space.

The atlas of labour research wants to give a first orientation, where results of labour research are to find and where which focal points are treated. It wants to identify possibly existing "white spots". But it shall also register, where assured results from labour science exist.

We refer mainly to results of labour research in Germany, but broaden our maps with european aspects, when we think, that connecting lines and relations can be generated.
